Why not? The PAC-12 is already the Kmart/Toys-R-Us of football conferences. Lever the bitch up under the auspices of ‘investing in the brand’ or ‘investing in the product.’ Pay a huge dividend to the PE shop with trivial amounts to the schools. Have the schools ‘invest’ in mediocre coaching staffs at premium prices. Watch the revenue drop and WSU, Colorado, Oregon State, UCLA and Cal all drop football in 5 years. Declare victory and walk away with a 20% IRR over 5 years. #thescript
