Lots of kids visiting this weekend. Looks like it will be crazy. Look for many commits in the next few days. As always, expect some big surprises and a few disappointments. Lot's of twists and turns and some last minute steals are the norm. Can Petersen close the deal on these guys? It will be interesting to see who he can pull in, if he pulls in no one it will get interesting fast! Stay tuned!

Any idea on next years recruiting class? I am hearing some kids will commit in the summer and might not stick, should get pretty wild. Are your sources hearing the same things?

On numbers I'm hearing as high as 20. Possibly as low as 10. You'll hear about it in chat first. I will be at Bruno's on 3rd Ave later and will be sharing stuff I can't post here.
I never knew the recruiting talk was so hot around the toilet section at Lowes, I may be purchasing a subscription with a toilet, i'm hearing get it while I can.

    Ride

You do know you can edit posts, right?

  • If you Sark haters didn't get your wish and run him out of town UW would have landed all 10 of these guys. I talked to these guys before Sark left and they all told me and nobody else they were coming to UW.

Of course an 18 year old would never lie to me and string me along like the dumb fuck that I am.

It wasn't even kids telling him that the way I remember. It was one of Sark's sleaze bag staff.

Recruiting is most important for those who can't coach. Don James, albeit from a different era, truly developed some less than stellar recruits who became Dawgs of renown.

I hope Petersen all the best this recruiting season, but I am banking on his coaching skill to field an expectation exceeding team for 2014.

You've nailed it for me. I think that's what drew me to Doogman initially. I was obsessed with recruiting, I didn't think our guys would get coached up for shit, so we needed to get the best possible guys we could to have any success.
Now that we have an adult that can coach I don't feel the need to hang on every recruit. We'll get solid players, and when they get here they'll get taught to play well.
