The difference between loose and lose is so vast. This one drives me crazier than any other grammar/spelling screw up.
If lose were spelled loose, how is loose then spelled? I suppose looose is the obvious answer. -

I suppose you could spell lose, loos, making the word a sort of Scandinavian type spelling and leave loose the way it is.
