four people briefed on the matter said. - The NY Times sources anon

Yet Trump and others are on the record using their name on it

Plus the article has nothing on what the issue with Kushner is other than he is a son in law which I don't think is illegal

So we have the Times and the CIA and @insinceredawg who are all known liars about Trump and I should be outraged?

Get the CIA's dick out of your mouth you government stooge @insinceredawg

“In 2018, White House and security clearance officials affirmed that Mr. Kushner’s security clearance was handled in the regular process with no pressure from anyone. That was conveyed to the media at the time, and new stories, if accurate, do not change what was affirmed at the time.”

The decision last year to grant Mr. Kushner a top-secret clearance upgraded him from earlier temporary and interim status. He never received a higher-level designation that would have given him access to need-to-know intelligence known as sensitive compartmented information.

@insinceredawg can you tell us in your own words why this is an issue?

The first half of your post is a quote from Kushner's lawyer.

If Trump's own Chief of Staff and WH lawyer along with the CIA were concerned with Kushner receiving security clearance (even if it's not the highest level designation) than it is an issue. If it wasn't an issue, why would Trump have to go out of his way to demand he receive it and then lie about it?

How far is Trump's dick up all your asses to continue to dismiss every story that comes out about him?
I asked you what I should be concerned about

I didn't think you could answer

Why is Kushner a security risk?
Didn’t he tell Mohammed bin Salman the names of “disloyal” Saudis from intel briefings of others and then they were arrested, tortured, and extorted? Or am I remembering incorrectly.

Why not find your source and we can all remember together?

Edit to say that story would still be on the front page if true

    Go ask the CIA.

Let me ask you, in your own opinion why do you think Kushner should have security clearance?

Because POTUS wants him to. As the CIC that's his prerogative

So all you have is an anonymous CIA source? No reason? This is the same bullshit the Times has been peddling since Trump won

    https://theintercept.com/2018/03/21/jared-kushner-saudi-crown-prince-mohammed-bin-salman/

What exactly Kushner and the Saudi royal talked about in Riyadh may be known only to them, but after the meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed told confidants that Kushner had discussed the names of Saudis disloyal to the crown prince, according to three sources who have been in contact with members of the Saudi and Emirati royal families since the crackdown. Kushner, through his attorney’s spokesperson, denies having done so.

On November 4, a week after Kushner returned to the U.S., the crown prince, known in official Washington by his initials MBS, launched what he called an anti-corruption crackdown. The Saudi government arrested dozens of members of the Saudi royal family and imprisoned them in the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh, which was first reported in English by The Intercept. The Saudi figures named in the President’s Daily Brief were among those rounded up; at least one was reportedly tortured.

Trump's serial nepotism is troubling. The way these things blow up, it's probably become a feedback loop, reinforcing Trump that these are the only people he can trust.

Once again, this national security kerfuffle amuses me, as Trump has Dems so twisted up that they reflexively BACK the formerly evil CIA, NSA, FBI, NRO and any other sinister 3 letter agency you can think of.

    Vehemently?

Sorry that I asked you guys to back up your assertions because I knew you couldn't

Thanks for more mindless speculation from the Intercept though

    Imagine you defending the CIA
