Thompson would be a good fit in Portland. He grew up there up until High School. He is more or less Scottie Pippen lite with a jumpshot. Portland is different this year. Nurk finally grew up and is playing like a 7 footer now that He is actually in shape. Kanter was a great addition in that they don’t have to play Collins or Leonard anymore.
Jake Layman has developed into a solid bench guy. But they still have the glaring weaknesses that are Aminu and Harkless. Guys that don’t start on most NBA teams. It’s still 50/50 as to whether they get out of the 1st rd. But they can play bully ball just as well as they can play run and gun this year. And that’s a new development. -

Klay is Reggie Miller with better defense. He’s nothing like Pippen. -
