On Wednesday’s The Ingraham Angle, the host, Laura Ingraham, and a frequent contributor on the show, Raymond Arroyo, took issue with the furor over a 1971 Playbοy interview of John Wayne that resurfaced this week because of controversial statements made by the actor.
In the interview, Wayne stated, among other things, “I believe in white supremacy until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility.”

We should re-write history and purge the world of all copies of JW's movies and appearances on TV. Maybe torture his offspring?

Imagine caring about this

Lots of blacks in Zimbabwe feel the same way. Actually, the big problem is socialism. Hondo is all in on having his people control me. Somehow, that just means he "cares".

I'm surprised Bob hasn't commented. Given he thinks racism ended in 1965.

Hurts USC IMO.

Denigrate John Wayne at your own risk.

I worked with a guy who loved JW. When Rock Hudson died from AIDS he was telling me that everyone knew he was gay (he might have had personal insight) and to counter his constant ragging on Hudson and gays I argued the point that JW was also gay. "Just look at him, his real name was Marion and he had a doll collection". Drove the guy nuts.
I also thought he was one of the worst actors I had ever seen. Maybe the Cowboys was the best he did...
