He is not a player Hopkins would ever recruit, but I'll remember him fondly as a guy who bridged the culture change. Played out of position and out of his league, but stuck through even when hop probably wouldn't have opposed a transfer. Its only year two of Hop and I think I'm already taking for granted how amazing our defense is, this is really special.
Hameir was awesome defensively tonight, I still think he could end up being good. He has the skills to be decent offensively, he just plays with less than zero confidence.

Goddammit! This team is pretty fucking good. At one point we outscored Utah 43-15 between late in first half and the midway into the second. 43-15. Jesus. This was a Ute team that averaged 79 points in our shitty league. Matisse makes us a tourney wildcard. His pairing of unusual length and uncanny anticipation takes the Hopkins defense to a level that I'm not sue even he thought this team could play at. Goddammit! Fuck, if we hit shots in the tourney then we might make it to the second weekend. We could most definitely make a run if any two of Crisp, Nowell, Tisse or Green get hot over a weekend. Our defense is that good right now. Shit, some team from the east coast may decide that Dickerson isn't the best scorer on the team, leave him singled, and he could go off for 25. Fucking shit, I'm dodging HARD!!!

I was on his ass tonight about not shooting 3's because he clearly isn't confident in doing so. Hameir needs to keep working on that jump shot and eventually they'll start to fall. Like you said, he has good shot. His form is fine. It all comes down to having confidence to hit the open shot.dhdawg said:

Yep. Crisp becomes primarily a shooter off the bench with occasional backup PG duties to handle the ball in short spurts when Murray and Nowell need a breather and/or when you need an extra handler on the court.DeepDawg said:
