I fish the Quilcene river in August. It's a complete shitshow, but they're the first silvers to hit the rivers anywhere near me. And if you time it right after a good summer rain storm, you can knock the fuck right out of them. Quilcene now has a couple good places to get food, and an actual store - and they do livwe concerts there in the summer. My buddy and I stop at Gear Head deli to get killer sammiches on the way home from crabbing up north. Cool photo, Race. You in it? -

Packed in my home town. I could throw a rock and hit their plant from my house.
Must be an old pic though, because Coast Oyster/Hilton's is now Pacific Seafoods … maybe that's the reason for the closeout price.
Fried thousands of those things at my family's restaurant growing up … cracker meal and coconut oil … delicious.
