Peak oil

One of the things that always struck me as both funny and incredibly alarming is the feeling by leftards that they are smarter than conservatives. Look, there are plenty of stupid people in this country. But the willfully stupid people that feel they are the smartest people in the room are almost always leftards. If mittens thinks that he is wearing magic underwear or that some Christian believes in a young earth or intelligent design – it doesn’t cost me a damn dime. On the other hand, the leftards don’t want my damn dime. They want it all or to control it all. From my toilet design, to my light bulbs, to my car, to my guns to my speech.

On the conservative side there isn’t anything remotely resembling the idiocy of peak oil. Or the words from supposedly our smartest president evah, that we can’t drill our way to lower energy prices. When leftards are wrong, do they regroup and focus on the actual facts? Hell, no – they just state that we have 12 years to get to net zero carbon emissions and compare that to creating one rocket that can take a man to the moon.

PEAK OIL: Texas crude oil production breaks 1970s record. “Texas oil wells produced more than 1.54 billion barrels of crude in 2018, beating the previous record of 1.28 billion barrels set in 1973, TIPRO reported in its annual ‘State of Energy Report’ early Monday morning.”

Or they are the new self proclaimed Moral Majority

Either way it isn't all that interesting

Extraction technology is miles ahead of during the Obama early years. Not really a fair comparison.

I've seen some crazy shit as far as fracking goes including pumping gels down the hole (much like Hondo does) and then applying a massive electrical charges to 'loose' the oil from the soil to which it is attached. Can turn old pumper wells that have essentially been mothballed or shut in into reasonable producers.

That said, Jake Browning still sucks, and we need to invade Venezuela immediately for plentiful oil, sandy beaches and hot beaches.

The problem with the left is that they never pay a price for when they are wrong. Their good intentions are always what counts.

It's not a new observation but the Greenies do share the same religious fervor that the Moral Majority had it's just that they have a different god.

Its also not new but seems to be more true than ever that after the fall of the Soviet Union the communists saw the environmental movement as a new home and way to attack the West

Nary a negative word about the world's greatest polluter, China

And I know you know this because I recall you talking about it, the worst fucking polluters and destroyers of the environment were the old Soviet Union and it's satellite countries.

Who was the dumbfuck on the halfbrains site that used to insist peak oil was upon us? That was like 8 years ago.

Every leftard on the old Woodshed. It was an article of religious faith. You were a cretin if you discussed new oil finds and fracking. Leftards hate energy independence and family wage jobs and associated tax revenue.

I recall LA Coug thinking it was ridiculous when I said that only capitalist countries could afford to be clean even though the USSR et al up to China are polluted messes and the US did in fact, starting in the 60's, start to get their shit together

Lets wait until some of the rest of the world catches up or it is wasted money. We can't clean up shit by ourselves.

In 50 years the known reserves are expected to be double what they are now. But the left wants to tax cheap energy. Fine with me. I can afford it. They poor who they claim to care about are going to get fucked. And it won’t have any affect on climate change.

Do you have an argument? Recent predictions are that in 50 years known oil reserves will be double what they are today. The US could stop using fossil fuels and it won’t stop the climate from changing. What will happen, is we will try, and fossil fuel prices will go higher and the poor will be disapportionaly affected.

As long as you’re denying man made climate change, there’s no point in arguing with you.

Here’s a question for the liberal bed wetters.

What happens to the price of fossil fuels when the world’s largest consumer of fossil fuels stops using them? Does their price increase or decrease?

Does that make it more or less likely that China and India who are already producing more Green House gases, will use more or less fossil fuel?

AOC’s GND could very easily have the effect of India and China producing more Green House gases on account of lower oil prices

We could invade China and make them comply since the planet is at stake

We'll need a railroad bridge over the Bering Sea to get there and our soldiers will be on horseback but we can do it

Hopefully our new Prius plug in tanks will be ready! I'm think wind up battleships and aircraft carriers are in the works. No fighters or bombers to put on them since their batteries are too heavy to allow any weapons but they have a range of almost 2 miles.

Because if there was an international agreement you’d be for it.

Maybe we should try leading? Being the most powerful country on earth and all. Or we could continue to make excuses and kill everyone.

And if this is real China is killing twice as many people. If it's a crisis it's a planet crisis

It's not a western capitalist crisis comrade. You're working for China

You got to love this. So we're going to craft a "international agreement" where China and India and all the other developing economies agree to no longer use fossil fuels?

No wonder you love AOC's GND. You believe in fairy tales and fantasies.
