In regards to Chriss, this is a pretty big time get. All three rating services give him four stars, with his Scout rating of #75 overall the lowest of the three, Rivals has him at 62 and ESPN at 60.
Seems to be a raw kid who will probably never develop much of a poast up game at UW (unless Coach Otz knows something about coaching up bigs none of the other Romar assistants ever have) but if UW ever ditches the high poast he would be the perfect run and gun big with his explosiveness. Looks like the kind of guy who gets after it defensively and on the boards too.
In the Romar era how many top 100 overall big men have we pulled from out of state? Other than kids who transferred in, I'm not sure we've had any, unless you consider Pondexter a big. Breshers might have been one. Really surprised by this. If he does sign, it's major.
For whatever reason, it seems hoops commits stick a lot better than football commits do. The early signing period helps, but I think it's more than that. Seems like it's pretty rare for a hoops kid to decommit other than for a coaching change. My guess is he signs. Vandy was after him so qualifying shouldn't be an issue.
