Another Sewell and Puka. Quite the intertwined twofer. Oregon plays the recruiting game HARD! FML

I glanced at 247Sports portal today - there is a ton of folks listed. A few 4/5 stars at different positions. Seems better than trying to get Juco players in.

If you are Les Miles or Mack Brown and you are trying to rebuild a depleted roster then yes, the portal seems like a good way to refill not your depth but to upgrade your starting line up due to the availability of immediate playing time. If you are Washington, Clemson or Alabama then bringing in guys who were not interested in competition or waiting their turn to start may be a bad idea. QB would be the major outlier here. They seem to have a much lower hit rate than most positions in recruiting and finding a good one can change the outlook on your season immediately. See, State, Ohio for confirmation of this fact.

not geaux'ing anywhere, but just sayin' that don't be surprised if kids start keeping a paper trail of everything that pisses them off during their time at university so they have the option of applying for a hardship in the portal.

You’re not Clemson. You’re not Alabama. You’re Wisconsin. HTH.

I dunno, 11-2, top 10 finish sounds pretty Wisconsinish to me.

I think Wisconsin may have slipped a division title in along the way but the Cuogs almost did

The transfer portal is quite interesting honestly, does not list your position at first, only your name and former school. I'd assume this means that kids were already on the radars of coaches before entering the portal.

Gerald Willis was a comeback. Flamed out at Floriduh, took a leave of absence after a year at Miamuh, and then had a first round pick year this year.

    Be positive!!!!!

Yes. His point was that you're? not Clemson or Alabama, and that you're closer to Wisconsin.
