I am all for making better choices as we move ahead as a society but let's not be completely utterly stupid. Look at Musk, Tesla may or may not make it but it has pushed other car makers to follow suit with electric cars. Through innovation, he has pushed others to innovate. I would expect Ford or Daimler to outperform Tesla.
It will be up to the free market to solve problems, not the government. The government is highly skilled at flushing money down the toilet. -
