One could say a Utah expert made a definitive statement in a super secret forum about a team some of us really like.HillsboroDuck said:

Edit: and there was not even a whisper about a team some of us really don’t like. -
There's probably a lot of zeroes as a reason we lose Pukajhfstyle24 said:So he's locked in a heated battle with Oregon (7-6 season, no WR coach, 4 WR commits plus maybe Juwan Johnson, offered about 3 weeks ago and immediately jumped to his top 5) and Washington (10-4, WR coach, 1 WR commit, offered last year).
OK!
If USC is out of the picture there is zero excuse to losing Puka. Zero. -
What the fuck is the Wam?

If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.StrongArmCobra said:What the fuck is the Wam?

I’m gonna join the wam when my next royalty check deposit hits

"FWIW, Cristobal presser is at 10:45am PT and Puka will decide at 11am PT. Read into that however you may want."
From an Oregon mod.
Also in the same thread from a random poster...
"Well over here we are more positive about Puka - as TOS are saying he's more likely Washington. In fact, Washington seems to be taking a huge number of Oregon's targets this week, not happy about that (if it happens). But over all our class is much better then theirs." -

Oregon will rank higher
Coming on the heels of the Rose Bowl debacle one really has to wonder if we need to get the coaching search bored fired up again -
I think Oregon will be ranked higher in Composite and UW will be ranked higher in the 247 rankings. Depending on how tomorrow goes, obviously.RaceBannon said:Oregon will rank higher

I guess they win the north

Not sure what #MyDucks have left on the bored but it would have to be next to nothing for us to pass them I'd think. They are five spots ahead of us on the 247 which we could certainly make up if we truly have Heimuli (we do) and hit runner runner with Nacua and TootToot, but if Oregon adds much more at all (even three star level guys) it would probably be enough to stay ahead of us.HuskyClaws said:

I would guess they will be a few spots ahead of us in Composite and 1 or 2 ahead in 247.
But IDGAF. Our class is better. Their advantage is almost entirely WR based. I'd take our class over theirs for sure. -
Oregon has a lot of Taggart assistant coach recruiters this year and last year. They hired Cristobal just to hold on to this class that Taggart got the ball rolling on. This year will be very interesting to see what Cristobal can do.

The Lag Theory
So Oregon this year would be off the fumes of their run where kids today grew up with the Oregon is cool thing and two playoff appearances
UW is just getting into the kids growing up after the invention of football in 2016.
@HillsboroDuck ? True? -
Kristian Williams (DT) is the only guy who's not currently committed who Oregon has a shot at tomorrow. Kyle Ford is sticking with SC, he must like James Franklin.HillsboroDuck said:

Both Oregon and UW have great classes. USC is embarassing. The rest of the conference is dreck as usual. Fuck this conference

LOL. Who? Michael Johnson? Dude was probably the worst recruiter on staff. Had a 4* QB son in HS in Eugene he couldn't recruit to Oregon....LaMichael_Corleone said:Oregon has a lot of Taggart assistant coach recruiters this year and last year. Actually agree. As much as we bitch about WR crootin this year, I wouldn't trade our DL haul for their WR haul now or ever. The classes are close, and Oregons is great to be sure, but I prefer our lines, so I prefer ours.HillsboroDuck said:

Recruiting lag doesn't mean everything that happens in recruiting is based on the on field season before. It just means that the portion of the class that is impacted by what happens on the field is more influenced by the season before than the season of. Basically @TierbsHsotBoobs theory is that an especially good (or especially bad) season on the field this year (2018) will not have a large effect on the 2019 class but WILL have a large effect on the 2020 class.RaceBannon said:The Lag Theory

Oregon's helped by their branding of years gone by for sure but their recruiting Oregon's effort is definitely impressive based on their shit 2017 season. This is what happens when you go all in on recruiters with no regards to whether they can coach or not. Pete basically started by going the complete other direction and has gradually moved to adding guys who can do both. But there's no question Oregon has a better staff of recruiters than Washington does. Washington has a better staff of evaluations and better staff of developers though. -
Most I have ever seen @RaceBannon around here. So even though he said racist shit about the red man taking over, turns out he secretly loves it. And me.RaceBannon said:The Lag Theory

I will chin any Top Gun gif ever. Just fyi for when you need to build your chin count.RaceBannon said: -
It's very possible that both classes are better for their respective programs than the others' would be. Oregon absolutely needed WRs so their numbers there make sense. That would have been a disaster for us. I don't think they have enough DT depth to say they wouldn't take our DT class but I could be wrong there.Swaye said:

The classes are fairly similar outside of those two things with minor differences here and there. But I trust our staff to find guys who fit our culture and are likely to stick around more than I trust their staff to do the same. I think our class has less risk than theirs does. -
I'm going to steal the Red Man's idea for a thread on the Yellow BoardSwaye said:

So I just checked their commit list for the first time. The fact that Sean Dollars is rated .9387 seams absurd. He looks like dog shit.HuskyClaws said:"FWIW, Cristobal presser is at 10:45am PT and Puka will decide at 11am PT. Read into that however you may want."

Also, if Herbert (TE) adds as much "value" to a class as Danny Hammer then there is something seriously wrong with out these rating are done. I know, water is wet
