Ryan Coogler was mistaken for a bank robber. The person who mistook him for a bank robber was a black bank teller. The person who briefly detained him and put cuffs on him was a black police officer.

Police responding to the bank branch in the upscale Buckhead neighborhood saw a black Lexus SUV parked out front with the engine running. An officer talked to the male driver who said he was waiting for Coogler, who was inside the bank. A female passenger gave police the same information.

A description of Coogler given by the driver matched the description of the man reported to have been trying to rob the bank, the report says. The officer detained both the driver and passenger in the back of a police vehicle but they were not placed in handcuffs.

Two other officers had gone inside the bank and led Coogler out in handcuffs.

Body camera video released by police shows officers approaching Coogler from behind as he stands at the counter wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, a black cap, sunglass and a white mask. As an officer pulls his gun and another tells him to put his hands behind his back, Coogler says, “Whoa, whoa, what’s going on?”

Coogler tells them he’s just trying to pull money out of his own account as he’s led from the bank.

Police determined the whole thing was a mistake by the teller and Coogler “was never in the wrong,” the report says The handcuffs were immediately removed and the other two people were released from the back of the patrol vehicle.

I would assume that like grocery stores, they would put the cash into a time sensitive vault. The problem is that they can't then use an armored car to take it to a bank. Treating it as a Schedule I drug still. But, the US House just passed legislation to allow dispensaries to take the cash to the bank.

Once stood a safe distance away and watched the response of the Seattle PD to a potential bank robbery in the Rainier Valley. You'd think people would stop trying to pull into the parking lot when you have police cars, officers on foot and guns drawn.

That's why I posted the FBI racial statistics on bank robberies. When blacks are committing well more than half the robberies, tellers are going to get nervous. In this case a black teller.

That's why I posted the FBI racial statistics on bank robberies. When blacks are committing well more than half the robberies, tellers are going to get nervous. In this case a black teller.

It would be both educational and entertaining if Mello wasn't such a Kunt and he could tell us why anything you said was wrong but he won't. He just knows the topic involves black crime rates and that makes his Kunt hurt, thus the down vote.

Wearing glasses in a bank is prohibited... working in a bank for 15 years and a hooded up masked up glassed up person comes in and I would worry about being robbed.. curious what the conversation was though.

There have been a ton of robberies... they just aren't reported on as you would have 3 to 4 a day at least reported on the news. Most are quick note transactions... we would get alerts daily about all the robberies in the Bay Area, was nonstop and they all had the same look, white or black didn't matter their color. Just what they were dressed like.... except for the one the button down Bandit... who robbed my teller... and looked at me and said are you alright man after I realized he was a robber, he didn't have the Normal look so it shocked me! Lol he did get caught right after he robbed us and amazingly was a former welterweight champion.

I was never scared of a note robbery, it was the takeover robbery that scared the shit out of me... always in the back of my mind.
