A GOP Senate will likely change nothing

There was a vote held in the Senate on an amendment by Mike Lee to the CR on Joey’s vaxx mandates. It was to defund the remaining mandates. Romney, Graham, Inhofe and Burr failed to show for the vote. It failed 46-47. As you know Senators must be present to vote, unlike the House of Reps.

I was thinking this the other day. If we take it back narrowly then Murkowski/Mittens/Collins just become our Manchin and Sinema.

Romney and Graham (and McConnell) are the most corrupt soy boys on our side of the aisle. Bought and paid for. Just disgusting.

True, but the best case is just gridlock. You’d need to 67 senators to really make some moves.

If the GOP wins in 22 and the premise of this thread is true and they do nothing (again) then DeSantis is going to have to run against the GOPe like Trump

I understand that many of you prefer DeSantis - younger, smoother, and not yet near as polarizing. Polarizing isn't always bad but that's another thread

Two weeks ago DeSantis polled better among independents. Trump beat DeSantis in Florida. Both beat Biden but DeSantis beats him bigger

So how does the GOP Huskies blow this no lose scenario?

By always being on the defense and letting the DIMS and their corrupt media set the narrative and define you. Of course being cowards is always in play for the establishment GOP. Like we just witnessed on this vote.

"Disturbing" "Wrote a letter to Biden"

Warnings that people who are donating to the Canadian vaccine protest convoy could see their bank accounts frozen are "really disturbing" and a "throwback to 2010, when we found our own IRS was starting to target American citizens that were supporting the conservative movement," Rep. Matt Rosendale said on Newsmax Friday.

"People are having their rights violated," the Montana Republican said on Newsmax's "National Report."

"They're having their bank accounts frozen because they're trying to do what they truly believe in."

Rosendale said he has gotten 63 of his GOP colleagues in the House to join in a letter to President Joe Biden to plead with him to work with Canadian officials to "resolve this vaccine mandate hysteria" and bring the protests to an end.

"There's $695 billion worth of trade that takes place over the Canadian and American border, and 70% of that is transported through trucking," said Rosendale.

"We've got approximately 16,000 truckers that are expected to go offline because of these mandates and about 22,000 Canadian truckers, at the very time when folks across the nation are seeing our grocery store shelves being empty. We need these people out there working."

Or they could have got the asshats to show up and vote out the mandates

You can't plead with evil. Biden has no soul and will do or say anything to enrich himself and the people who own him. Trump understands the kind of game that must be played to win in this political realm. Not many are willing to take on the powers that are the swamp.

Just like that MelloDoog disapproves of criticisms of conservatives.

Simple Trump wins the nomination and instead of going after Joe's record he keeps the stolen vote bs up.

This is why nothing really changes - only the headlines on and in the media. Foreign policy - nope, immigration - only when Dems in charge (see Ted Kennedy)

We could make a list of things that don't change I guess

Russian collusion was not just a scam it was orchestrated

    Covid the same

Everything is a lie but I'm sure that mountain of circumstantial evidence of massive election fraud is nothing

They wouldn't do it again so let them get away with it
