The difference being UW fans don't consider themselves on the same level as the Alabama's of the world. We knew beating Alabama was a long shot when we were good... but we also knew we weren't elite. HH members mock the living shit out of the the Pete-led teams.MikeSeaver said:

Now you think I’m talking about 2020?BroadcastingDawg said:
You seriously overestimate how much the UW fan base cares about 2020. But I get the feeling it goes deeper than that, hence my comment. Ya'll love getting your panties in a bunch over UW's "claimed" natty.MikeSeaver said:

Do you tell Miami they made up their "claimed" championship?MikeSeaver said:Man, you guys LOVE making up your own championships.
How bout LSU or SC in 2003? and the 9 other times its happened to 18 teams?
Did any of you actually graduate from the Harvard of Seattle?
Just happy to see the Oregon fan base, who claimed Cristobal had transformed them into "THE SEC OF THE WEST," get absolutely dismembered by a Utah program that UW soundly handled when they were at the top.
For 2 years now its been recruiting rankings this, Kayvon that... blah blah blah. Had ESPN sucking you off all season even when you were struggling to beat down P12 programs by single scores. It was amazing to hear Kirk Herbstreit call your performances "embarrassing" and "a step back."
And now the savior is leaving.
The original post has Washington listed as the best team in the Pac in 2017.
This falls in line with your programs penchant for claiming championships that only they think they’ve won.
The rest of your post is just full bore doog porn so not too interested in that.
I don't know who else you think was better but it wasn't SC and Stanford, imo. And UW plungered WSU.
Stanford that year was the worst loss of the Pete era imo
I mean seriously, ESPN was painting you as worthy of the top-4 all season despite knowing that you're not. How many features did they do on Kayvon, claiming him as the greatest thing since Lord Jesus Christ himself? P12 pundits (even Pete sadly) were on national broadcasts begging for you to make the playoff, saying you're more deserving than teams who were clearly better... and you lose to Utah by a combined 59 points in back-to-back games on the national stage.
It's fucking poetry.
Imagine a Husky telling a Duck that Oregon blows it whenever they get the chance.
Oregon fans on the other hand... Jesus, a few good recruiting classes and you're apparently the SEC of the West. The next elite program! WATCH OUT!
But the SEC of the West shit from Oregon fans has been pretty universal.

And I'm sure there were plenty of Husky fans mocking it. I just googled and saw a couple threads of HH members doing exactly that.MikeSeaver said:

Just happy to see the Oregon fan base, who claimed Cristobal had transformed them into "THE SEC OF THE WEST," get absolutely dismembered by a Utah program that UW soundly handled when they were at the top.
For 2 years now its been recruiting rankings this, Kayvon that... blah blah blah. Had ESPN sucking you off all season even when you were struggling to beat down P12 programs by single scores. It was amazing to hear Kirk Herbstreit call your performances "embarrassing" and "a step back."

But Cristobal, man he sure had Oregon fans convinced that they were headed for elite status and they were shouting it to the moon on every platform they could find.
It was effectively illustrating that UW could definitely aspire to competing at the highest levels

Whatever it is you want to say about 1960, comparing that to Miami’s 91 title is, quite literally, ridiculous. Stick to shitting on the Ducks. There’s plenty there.
You're not important. And you really seem to think you are.
I was just trying to help you out, since you seem to have the observational IQ of a flea. Just my opinion mind you, which of course is no more important than anyone else's.
But please go on and equate a 50+ year after-the-fact brain child of Todd Turner with a split national title that was awarded contemporaneously within the framework as it existed at that time.

Why so sensitive…
1) UW aimed low and made a cost saving hire
2) Oregon is willing to actually pay real money to make a splash hire
3) over 81% of the dipshits on this board would trade their last 20 years with Oregon’s in a heart beat.
4) The fact that they care this much about Oregon needing a new coach is victory enough. If the UW program was worth a shit and not in a vegetative state, they wouldn’t care two shits about this.
This is embarrassing how sensitive you guys are.
You idiots are allowing a bunch a guys following a 4 win team, with nothing to look forward to, to actually get to you. I mean WTF?
Let’s see who Oregon hires before we panic -
My @Sources tell me Dave Aranda is on the short list
-
Aranda or Bust! 2-7 last year to conference champions. I'll take that guy.

Joe Brady would also be great I think46XiJCAB said:Aranda or Bust! 2-7 last year to conference champions. I'll take that guy.

1) UW made a smart hire. If the rumored assistants come then they only penny pinched on the head coach, and for good reason. If he wins 9 games or better he's getting the same deal as everyone else making 7.5+.
2) Maybe they will, but they didn't in 2016. And again in 2017.
3) No one gives a fuck a out 20 years ago. NoNatty.
4) Why wouldn't we talk about this situation? It's hilarious, embarrassing, and relevant to the conference. If you get Chip or Wilcock than a 5th team could change the dynamics of a division as well.
We have plenty to look forward to next year. This year was shit coming off of most teams getting 4 or 5 games in last year. Worst coach in UW history and he was fired before he could do more damage.
It's the Pac 12. You can do a 180 faster than in any other power 5 conference. Utah isn't even a lock to be great next year. -

Don’t bring the 91 title into this unless you want to go 15 rounds with me.BroadcastingDawg said:
Do you tell Miami they made up their "claimed" championship?MikeSeaver said:Man, you guys LOVE making up your own championships.
How bout LSU or SC in 2003? and the 9 other times its happened to 18 teams?

UW sucking so fucking badly they have to fire a guy after two years isn't embarrassing, but Oregon winning 10 games a year and losing their coach is. You are a legit retard, haie. JFC.
-
Your coach threw a *real* conference title in the trash waiting for Miami to match what he was just offered. That just happened.dtd said:UW sucking so fucking badly they have to fire a guy after two years isn't embarrassing, but Oregon winning 10 games a year and losing their coach is. UW's embarrassment ended months ago. Meaningless Apple Cup. Oh the agony. -

Jimmy would still be HC if he didn’t lose his mind v Oregon. He wasn’t fired for shitty outcomes. Just stop with the BS. Dummy.haie said:1) UW made a smart hire. Your ex coach had a mental breakdown on the sidelines, and punched his own player in the face mask on live tv. That’s embarrassing. Did your momma drop you as kid? And yes your AD made a cheap hire. Oregon may as well, and I’ll be the first to criticize a horrible hire on their part. But it’s hard to look at the UW hire as anything but soft. It isn’t bad and it isn’t great, it’s meh. And that won’t get it done, with the roster Jimmy left him.
