Hurry up and pass the 3.5 trillion so that we can all see what's in it. Isn't that the rat way?

Turns out child care for a whole lot of middle class people, actually the overwhelming majority of middle class voters, is going to be a whole lot more expensive. Unattainably expensive.
Why do rats have to lie to get their shit passed? The obvious answer is the fact that they would never pass their legislation if the voters knew the truth.

Biden’s ‘help’ for child-care would make the middle class pay $13K a year more

They fucked up health care and said costs would go down. They didn't.

They're fucking around with child care and saying costs will go down. They won't.

The only thing government does more efficiently than the private sector is wage war. And even that is debatable given the number of mercenary contractors utilized since invading Iraq.

Did they merely fuck it up, or did they work hand-in-glove with the corporate oligarchs to rig the system to the detriment of the common man?

I'm certain this involves giving child care to people who don't work and pay nothing. Reminds of Obunghole care. What could go wrong?

The childcare thing is gonna be an absolute shitshow. Crazy high demand already, not enough supply in the right places due to heavy regulations from the state. Some federal oversight will help those problems Im sure. They are gonna be bussing 3 year olds around between locations, just watch.

Wait until all the childcare workers unionize.

Bring manufacturing out of East Asia (China, mostly) and back to the US. Good paying jobs that allow one half of the parental unit to stay at home or work only part-time. Figure out how to have less kids born out of wedlock and get the divorce rate lower. Daycare problem solved.

Sorry to be shouting at you from 1950.

No apology necessary. When you're right you're right.

Or just remove the yuge regulatory and legal barriers to being able to start an in-home daycare. Competition, competition, competition.

It worked for the beer brewing industry.

Don't disagree ... abundance seems the right answer here.

Sure, do that, too. I don't think the "market solution" does much for the kids' upbringing, but if it's cheaper than the current options that's good, too.

Just got back from getting my 3.5 year old a Covid test. Sent home from daycare for diarrhea. State regulations. Negative test as expected. Positive antibodies from a month ago. Probably the tenth negative Covid test she has taken.

Did our president get a Covid test for his diarrhea?

Is this anything like when you guys say universal healthcare costs more because you add on the new cost and never subtract the current cost?

I remember when Race used to set the trends. Now he’s reduced to copying the lamest cop outs.

The classic politician move is to take something that everyone wants or that sounds good (child poverty!) And then load it up with nonsense and then go see! They hate children!
