3 reasons why more organ donors from diverse backgrounds are needed

Reading the local yokel newspapers are always enjoyable - always truthful and eye opening articles. I saw this in the Skagit Valley paper, Discussion title is same as the Headline - good news it was page 7 so not front page
1. Some racial and ethnic populations are more likely to need a transplant.
2. The need for transplants far outweighs the number of willing donors.
3. More diversity among organ donors benefits everyone.
After those thought provoking statements came this
While organs are not matched based on race and ethnicity, people will generally have a better chance of matching with someone from a similar racial or ethnic background.

nothing really backs up any of the statements so just another BS pile the paper/internet thinks nothing of putting out there.
I am done ranting.
