New mayor cares about black lives in the same manner as leftards everywhere. Rudy G showed the way to save thousands of black lives during and after his administration. Or as the NY Times put it, "Despite Drop in Crime, an Increase in Inmates".

In St. Louis, Mo., the worst-in-country murder rate is at a 50-year high, the police department has nearly 100 unfilled jobs, and the mayor wants to defund the department and shut down a city jail.
St. Louis' Tishaura Jones, who became the city’s first Black female mayor last month, had campaigned on a promise to enact progressive criminal justice reforms.
The head of the city’s corrections department is also on his way out. Jones announced his resignation last week, saying she hadn’t requested he step down but making clear she wasn’t satisfied with how he ran things.

Black Lives only matter when they are killed by a white person. Sound harsh but it's true. These kind of stories get zero coverage outside of the local press and you'll never hear anything from BLM or LeBron about it.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Aniya Allen, a 6-year-old girl who was shot in the head Monday evening, died of her injuries on Wednesday.
The Minneapolis Police Department says the shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. on 3500 block of Penn Avenue North, in the city’s Folwell neighborhood. Relatives informed WCCO Wednesday morning that Allen died.
Local peace activist KG Wilson says that the child injured in the overnight shooting is his granddaughter. She was riding in her family’s car as she and her mom drove back from McDonald’s when bullets started flying outside of their north Minneapolis home. One of those bullets hit Allen in the head.
