The moldy playbook
Mitch is an idiot but that's not my point. He's getting shit from all the usual suspects
Its just that seeing this old saw brushed off after the unprecedented cooperation by the democrats with Trump is retarded

I recall the Democrats intentionally not passing a Covid relief bill, along with refusing to work on an infrastructure bill, and filibustering Tim Scott's police reform bill all because they didn't want to give Trump a legislative victory.

Trump offered a Dreamer deal early on. Democrats didn't even negotiate

It's only bad when Republicans try to defeat Rat Presidents. At least we're spared the bullshit about how "racism" is what's behind the Republican opposition to Biden.RaceBannon said:Trump offered a Dreamer deal early on. Democrats didn't even negotiate

Why in the world would any minority party negotiate with the majority party? The playbook of "block the governing power and blame them in the next cycle for inaction" has proven immensely successful for well over a decade now.

Actually, that had nothing to do with the 2020 election. It was the chi com crud and the BLM/antifa riots that got suburban moms scared and instead of standing up for their kids future, they thought they could appease the commies. The suburban kids in southwest Portland had lots of pro BLM gatherings.GreenRiverGatorz said:Why in the world would any minority party negotiate with the majority party? Yep, a couple of middle aged white women, in my neighborhood have been holding and organizing a pro-BLM rally every week since last year. The numbers have started to dwindle but they are still out there rain or shine encouraging people to honk and support "Black Lives Matter" as they drive up and down the main-drag of the neighborhood. When they were drawing their biggest crowds it was easily 95% white folks.WestlinnDuck said:

Tip and Reagan worked together. Clinton and Newt worked together and we got good results. It wasn't a love fest and both sides had to compromise but shit got done. Whether we need to get shit done is another debate.
Seems to have taken a turn for the worse with the post 911 popularity bump for W. Haven't seen much cooperation since.
Mitch did in fact say the same thing at the start of the Obama term.
Some things are best left unsaid. The democrats didn't have to say they were actively working for Trump to fail. The actions said it all
