Luke Wattenberg announces he will return for sixth season in 2021

I think it's great that he is going to come back, I'm not sure that he is going to start but he is a good player, can play a number of positions and will be part of the rotation.

Just because they have higher potential doesn't mean they will play well right away. Wattenberg is whatever, but Kirkland is good, he's just adjusting to a new position. Kirkland coming back would be great for us. Older OLs are generally better, because they're still developing physically when they're coming in. OLs also benefit from continuity and chemistry. It's really not a position where you should be rooting for young guys to play right away, unless you're recruiting like Alabama.

Mele was probably starting at center anyways. Murao probably wasn’t starting for another year or 2 anyways.

Yeah, from everything I read, Murao is still a ways away (which is understandable since he's a true frosh)
