I agree and tried to make this point the other day. Audit where it makes sense to audit and publish the results. Prosecute where it's there; be clear where it's not. Done. I've represented public companies for 20 years. When we vote on the board, the inspector of elections is in charge of collecting and tabulating the vote. We also always have a representative from the inspector of elections at the meeting in case any shareholder has questions.
Admittedly, when they do have questions they tend to be stupid and non-sensical because, generally speaking, only retail investors with nothing better to do attend the meetings.
But it's still important to do. -
