Things we'd know by now if our media wasn't complete garbage

We now know that the car Jacob Blake had "his" three kids in wasn't his car and that he had stolen the keys to the vehicle. Do we even know if he had custody of those three kids? We know the woman he sexually assaulted wasn't his wife. Are they her kids? Does Blake have legal custody/visitation of those kids because if he doesn't, as Sled pointed out, he was getting ready to kidnap those kids.
How did the kids get in the car? Did Blake show up, take the woman's keys and put the kids in the car? Did she try to leave with the kids when Blake showed up and she put them in the car? Our fucking garbage media is too busy acting as Ben Crump's stenographer "reporting" unsupported crap about Blake breaking up a fight and being a peacemaker in order to bother reporting on any of these other questions.
Other than shooting Blake's ass, which honestly the police showed great restraint for not doing it earlier, what are the cop's options here when a violent armed criminal, who is resisting arrest and who is unfazed by two separate taser shots, starts to get into his car, to either grab an additional weapon or to drive away with 3 kids that he does not have legal custody of?
