Couldn't be that many of the teachers are crazy commie shits could it? That's the short list...

    https://www.kusi.com/a-los-angeles-teachers-union-says-public-schools-should-not-reopen-unless-their-demands-are-met/

LOS ANGELES (KUSI) – The SDUSD on Monday issued a joint statement with the Los Angeles Unified School District, which also announced it will start the school year with online-only courses. In the statement, the districts acknowledged that schools have successfully reopened in some parts of the world, but said the conditions are different locally.

Officials from the district say they don’t have the resources to safely reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic while critics cite the data that shows children have very low risk to the virus.

But in Los Angeles, the decision has to reopen schools has become political.

The Los Angeles Teacher’s Union is one of the largest in the state, and the “United Teachers Los Angeles” say public schools should not reopen unless their demands are met.

Their demands include implementing a moratorium on private schools, defunding the police, increasing taxes on the wealthy, implementing Medicare for all, and passing the HEROES Act, which allocated and additional $116 billion in federal education funding to the states.

The unions demands also took aim at charter schools.

The United Teachers Los Angeles union says these policies must be implemented on both the state and national level before reopening schools.

Opponents, mainly Republicans, believe these demands prove that San Diego Unified and Los Angeles Unified School District’s decision to conduct classes online is a political one, not driven by the data.

Sounds like the San Diego and LA school unions are putting kids first forma change.

Does the state have the GUTS to not pay the teachers? Doubt it.

I can't wait for 50 years from now when woke NY Times writers tell us that demonizing white people has held them back in society and put them in danger of hate crimes for POC

    And I'll be here

I remember when TV and advertising was mighty white and minorities were portrayed as pimps and hookers if at all. I saw the change and heard the voices say how it mattered. All good

But as always we have to over correct and run ashore

Oh its so hard to be a white man reset

    It ain't easy being me

My kids went to a public elementary in Seattle. Every parent showed up for their parent-teacher conferences in my kids' classrooms, and sometimes both parents. The class right next door had 4 parents, total, show up. Guess which kids performed well and which ones didn't? It's not race; It's culture.

    pointless Antidote/Story Tim;

I knew a teacher, first year, at a poor inner city elementary school. One of those types of people that really cares and hasn't been beaten down by the depressing reality of life. Got approval to build a garden at the school, got the local homedepot and dirt place to donate well over $2,500 worth of supplies, everything was paid for without anyone else having to do anything. She spent the next couple weeks sending out signup sheets to her 100+ kids, plus other teachers classrooms to help, all that she needed was some basic man power moving dirt and boards. ~10-12 guys could knock out the project in an relaxing afternoon.

On the day of the scheduled construction, after some parents signed up to help, I showed up early in the morning to set up everything and paint lines. Over the next 10 hours of hard labor one 70+ year old adult male showed up to help... one old grandpa @RaceBannon looking motherfucker, not one dad... 5-7 moms showed up... 20+ parents that signed up completely flaked... that was it.

It was fucking depressing shit, the experience changed her outlook permanently, she did all the work to permanently change the community for good and practically no one, at a school with 400+ families, cared enough to even show up and help for an hour or two. She left that school the next year to go be a great teacher in a middle-class suburb where she would be appreciated and supported.

Side note; A few boys came with their moms. They were so happy to have a male show them how to use a saw, nail gun, or drill, carry "heavy" things, and give them a high five for building something... It was like they had never experienced normal male approval before... fucking sad.

There is a destructive cancerous culture problem and no one wants to say it because actual racists cant differentiate between culture and race.
Yeah but BLM wants to end the traditional 2 parent family, so obviously you hate black people

Denzell's been saying it for years, but the mainstream media goes "squirrel" whenever he does.

Well the problem(s) certainly can't be with the teacher's unions. And it can't be with the way many kids are showing up for school with little or no discipline from the parent(s). It's got to be whitey that's the problem.
