    Sure but optics are a thing and you have to be incredibly dumb to arrest a national reporter while he's live on the air. Especially a black one.

    This isn't the way to get the public on your side.

    A little something They don't really tell you, a "journalist" has very little additional legal status or protection than any other citizen. Some states have shield laws, but that's about it. Freedom of Assembly for all.

    Still not a great look. And the reporter seemed pretty compliant, asked them what they wanted them to do. DIdn't seem like he was grandstanding to get a story.

    I just watched the clip. Yeah, as much as I hate CNN clowns he couldn't have been more polite or servile if he tried. Repeatedly stating they would move wherever the police asked them to move. LOL. I think the situation has gotten so out of control the cops are now in just an "arrest everything" mode and we will sort it out later. This is a shitshow.

    Yeah, I didn't complete my thought. It's early. That's not at all a pro-cop take, or to in any way justify their arrest. It's a pro-citizen take in this time of eroded civil liberties for all.
