    I think 16 and this year did great damage to the myth of buying elections. When there were three stations and newspapers then sure, you had to get your message out.

    John Connally in 1980 spent what was at the time a record amount for a single delegate. It's been obvious for sometime now that you can't buy a Presidential race.
