I thought for sure The Bitch would win. I have friends in OH who work in the dem party and they suggested two weeks prior to the election that Trump might win this thing. They said they had never seen so many Republican/Trump signs in more yards than for this election. A total change from elections past. My son always thought he would win and stuck by it. I started getting cryptic texts from a friend who was working The Bitch's suite on election night that she was drunk and scratching Bill's face in anger when they figured out this could go completely the wrong way. Said she was acting like a "psycho". I still didn't believe it. When the I knew that Trump won was when the friend in the suite said that the masses were trying to go unnoticed while leaving as quickly as they could. The celebration came when I was alerted to the fact that The Bitch was in no mental or physical shape (drunk as a skunk) to come out and concede. A more fitting end couldn't have happened to a such a vile human being.

Lol that makes it so much better. She knew...KNEW...deep down that she deserved it and no way would anyone take it from her

The fact that it was such a brazen shithead is the icing on the cake.
All that posturing and putting on a fake persona then some asshole comes onstage, steals your thunder, and calls you a piece of shit

My old favorite election night was 1992 where I couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow

2016 blew it out of the water

1980 I was the gender ambiguous thing screaming to heaven as the old lions of the Senate got booted and RR beat the nice guy Carter

Van Jones is actually fairly reasonable

Disagree. He’s right on this, the dems have a weak field, but he’s always been a left wing race baiter. In fact his stance is that Trump’s election was a “Whitelash”. Fuck that guy.
I think he was in shock when he said that shit. He started getting "it" within the last year, and he'll probably secretly pull the lever for Trump, cause he's rich-as-fuck and wants to keep it. Just like everyone else.

Welcome to the Winning Side, Van.

I never suppered Trump and couldn't bring myself to vote for him but I surprised myself how happy I was watching the results roll in.

    DAMN I hate Hillary.

I think about 60 million voters felt exactly the same way.

Trump's populism turned me off and I reluctantly voted Hillary (flags deserved) as liberal free trade I still do believe in. Trump's subsequent election, the backlash, Russia gate, etc. All completely opened my eyes to just how far left and authoritarian people were hiding their true selves to be. It also woke me up to Chinas very real cold war against the US which I had only been peripherally aware of.

While there's still populist elements I disagree with there's no doubt that Trump's policies are working and as Bannon(steve not race) put it I'll take right wing populism over left wing every day.

I used to be embarrassed by Trump's behavior and language but now I see what it does to the Left and I don't mind so much. It reveals them for the goose stepping bootlickers they are.

That's all not even getting into how the Dems have been taken over by communists so even if Trump was as bad as the media led you to believe I'd still be voting for him.

    What is liberal free trade?

Trump supporters have gone underground, just for fear of being called a racists. They will lie to pollsters just like last time and will ultimately vote with their wallets.

The left is just racing itself to get further left to secure the far left vote and inadvertently marginalizing the true middle ground that it relies on to actually win. It’s over.

Reminds me of the Jake Browing scrambling for a massive loss gif.

    Try hard, lose 35 yards.

    And the election.

The nice part about this being a football board (and an alt right cesspool) is that everything can be compared to Browning and/or sark

Seems like yesterday that 20 Democrats led Trump in the polls

I'm still in awe of you RB. Nobody and I mean nobody was saying Trump was going to beat Hillary but you. You took a lot of shit back then but you were right. Brexit was the foreshadowing that everybody missed. Influencial people in the CA legislature pushed me to get behind Rubio. I attended a private breakfast and listened to him speak. He was terrible and a fraud. So I got behind Cruz but even he turned out to be a freak. The 16' election cycle woke me up as to how corrupt the republican party was. It is/was the same Bush party that tried to destroy one of the best presidents our country has ever had in Ronald Reagan. You were always right about Trump and very close friends of mine still don't get it. You did and I'll always respect you for seeing what you did and opening my eyes.
Ahem. I made money betting the '16 election.

The establishment failed at controlling the narrative. With continued arrogance they continue to fail all over themselves to this day. The internet finally gives a palpable voice to the populists.
Impressive and I often wondered how one would open an account in the UK (I assume that's where you placed the bet) to place a bet of that nature. What odds did you get and wasn't Brexit a similar upset? I should have been hanging out here then.

In late June of 16, I was at the local horse track for the first leg of a bachelor party and it was right in the middle of the fervent Black Lives Matter/all cops are racist pigs that Hils and Obama were peddling.

I mentioned to a buddy that maybe demonizing a union as large as the Police Union wasn't a great strategy for the Dems as they needed Union support to win elections.

My buddy railed on me about there was absolutely no way Trump could ever win a general election against Hils. I said I guess we'll let it play out. He wouldn't drop it and forced me to take a $100 bet.

That phone call on a Wednesday morning in November was pretty sweet.

I have similar story. At the Cal game one of my best friend's two dads insisted on betting. He was willing to bet as much as $500. He was so emotional about it I was concerned winning might affect our friendship (I've know the family since kindergarten). We settled on $20. The next week at the ASU game when he had to pull $20 out of his pocket, he acknowledged that I let him off the hook cheap.

I knew Trump was going to win by the end of that Summer. While I don't often agree with the guy, Michael Moore nailed. He made the speech about "the Blow's" in the rust belt were going to vote Trump just to say FUCK YOU to Hillary and the establishment.

I didn't have money in an offshore sports betting site at the time. The trick for off-shore betting sites is funding them. Most people use ecurrency.
