Listened to an interview with the beat writer who covers Cal:
- Because of San Fran area protocols, Cal can’t have meetings together, can’t have everyone in the locker room together, and they’ve had to split workouts and practices between two deeps and then everyone else
- The start has been pretty disjointed so far since the protocols are so much tighter than the rest of the Pac-12
- Throughout the offseason they couldn’t have more than 7 at first and then finally 11 players together at one time or pass the ball from one player to the next, so Garbers hasn’t been able to throw to receivers until recently
- Expects less shotgun with new OC, more two TE sets and a lot of sets with a fullback, predicated on a downhill pro-style rushing attack (aka the same shit UW is doing)
So basically, despite whatever hesitations we might have about UW going into Cal (we always lose to Cal!), they have really been put behind the 8 ball with how their camp has gotten started.

Can't wait to see Peyton Henry kick the game-winning field goal at 1:30 A.M. to beat Cal 9-6.

UW, Cal, Beavs and Cuogs are litteeally the last teams to start the season. Bad enough we’ve had to wait weeks for the dreckfest PAC-12 to pull their heads out but now I have to wait until 10:30 fucking pm to see them kick off.
Acro putting out low expectation feelers for the season
Who?
acropolisJR on doogman made a thread warning people that the team especially the offense (but also the defense specifically DL) would underwhelm big time. worst team since sark years
