It's why Hondo believes that only white males have the luxury of not knowing the cost of birth control. It's why Tommy was so triggered by white males who he thought were holding a hearing on abortion. The skin color was so important to Tommy he lied and made up the entire story. Skin color is why Hondo thinks blacks can't compete with whites and Asians on a level playing field and why we need to discriminate against them to help blacks out.
