If they lose to WSU this year, then w/o question, it is time for somebody to turn up the dial on the burner set underneath Cristo's balls. Cuogur is cuogur, so losing to them, what, 3x in a row is unforgivable no matter what condition they are in. With the wheels off, if they can't do what UCLA managed to do, it's open season.
I don’t know how any quook that has the displeasure of visiting this board, watched the end of Bellotttis teams, the CK mini Era and Helfrich’s first (and last) good team can possibly think that this is a GOOD Oregon team.
The San Antonio Choke Machine was twice as good as this team.
Oregon fucking SUCKS.
This fucker is going to crumble like that old lady I pushed down the stairs at Autzen and with about as much warning.

Oregon fans of those teams said they’d give their nutsack to win a game 17-7 like GOOD SEC teams. Now that their team is doing it, they think it’s shitty offense....
You’re right that Oregon will lose again and isn’t a great team but the San Antonio chokers had Brenner rolling snaps to Lockie at the end...this Oregon team would beat those guys 3-2 in an epic RedBox Bowl......

This. The most glaring weakness of that team was the complete lack of a Pac 12-level scholarship QB behind Adams, who looks better and better in the rearview mirror as time goes on. The kid was a gamer and played his best when under pressure. He also could deal with a center snapping the ball to him on the ground each and ever snap. He was kicking Baylor's ass. Bring in a guy who legitimately isn't any better than I am at playing the position and you had what happened happen.
Shough isn't Jeff Lockie.
As for the other comparisons, I don't track each Oregon team closely enough to really compare them, but you're going to have to come up with something substantive to get me to assume that that defense was better than this one. Because from dead reckoning, I highly doubt it. So there's 1/2 of the equation.
I'm not sure that Oregon team had a better O line. In fact, given what happened with Brenner and there being no answer from the bench, I'm going to assume this Oregon O line is better and deeper than that one.
Adams > that Herbert? I'll take that. I think V Adams with this and last year's Oregon team could do some damage.
The area where I think there is a big difference is in WR. I always said that Oregon would regret running off Darren Carrington, and they certainly did. They haven't had a good receiver with any size since then. They were short receivers last year and are short receivers this year. IDGAF about talented guys on the bench. Until they do something in a game it's all talk. In that respect, you have to cut Herbert a little slack in the same way you have to cut Eason a little slack. They are both making their reads looking for open midgets who like to drop the ball.
Overall I think your conclusion here is a little over the top for two reasons: one, I don't think those old Oregon teams were that great, and two, I don't think this Oregon team is that bad. Particularly where Vernon Adams is a factor, he was very good and any team would miss a guy who can play like that.
Rolls Royce was always overrated af to me. Soft ass bitch saving himself for the NFL. It was clear as day even before the Vegas bowl Taylor Rapp routine.
I don't cut Hebert any slack. Blaming the WR's (which do suck by the way) only goes so far. Hubert consistently throws deep balls in tight windows to guys who are not open, blatantly ignoring the open receiver who could get a first down. His incompetence and not being able to stay on the field makes the defense's job that much harder.

When Oregon and Baylor were at their prime (both around 2014), that would have been one hell of a shootout. Baylor finished 5th in the playoff voting behind tOSU the year we? bare pickled Shameis Squinston in the two hole; Had Baylor made it, they would have played Bama (probably lost) but at least we? would have played a beatable Bama versus the hottest team in the FBS. Oh well, two trips to the "natty", two failures. We would have found a way to lose to Bama or Baylor. That's Oregon football.

You can take that either way but they have talent stockpiled and Cristobal is for real. Or not. LIPO
Pittman came in for his first game as a true frosh and was catching balls off of his toes and behind his back
Better than any of our top ranked receiving recruits
Hard to imagine they'll travel to Washington, USC and ASU w/o 2 losses. Probably will steal one of those, but maybe not.
I do think they solve their Cuogur problem this year though.
