Different arguments of course. Should FIFA allocate the same prize money for the women's tourney as the men's tourney? Of course not. Absolutely massive revenue disparity. By that exact same argument though USA soccer should compensate the women's team at least equally to the men's team because they bring in more revenue.

How does the US women’s national team bring in more money than the men’s team? The big money is the TV revenue. Fox paid FIFA for the right to broadcast the women’s tournament in the US. They don’t pay the women’s team or the men’s team. FIFA pays the bonus for the winning team out of the tournament proceeds. You would think that a rational human being would look at the respective FIFA revenue and conclude that the winning men’s team would receive substantially more money than the winning women’s team. Leftards however, by definition are not rational.
