Lol so many quooks were bewildered with this kid's star rating compared to his offer sheet. He has zero big time offers. Finally they just decided to lie to themselves and say "he's just a quite, humble kid who doesn't care much for recruiting and never publicly announced his big offers." Fucking hilarious. Never heard that one before. That was rich. You'll probably find out why he didn't have big offers when he's no better in college than Steven Montez.

6'2 is now a midget? Tell that to Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray.

6’2” 190 is a small prospect. There are exceptions but taller and bigger is generally a good thing.

That's average size for a QB coming out of high school. Brock Osweiler and Paxton Lynch say hi. Either you can be consistently accurate or you can't. Size doesn't matter much. Obviously Butterfield has some great highlights but logic says his actual game film shows less consistent accuracy than Garbers or else UW would have chosen Butterfield.

Did Butterfield want to go to UW?
He never got a UW offer. If you're a Stanford legacy with no offer from Stanford but you have offers from Oregon and UW, of course you're going to UW over Oregon. Do you think a kid that wanted to go to Stanford doesn't give a fuck about academics? Of course he does. Fuck you're dumb.
Unfortunately for him, his best options from a football perspective were WSU and Oregon. Had UW been in the mix and offered the complete package between football and academics, it would have been a no brainer.

Am I missing something? Everybody on the fucking planet went to high school or is currently going to high school with idiots like that. Nobody is guilty by association. Oregon is a white trash, peckerwood state. Less diversity, more racism. Ask Ashton Eaton.

Congrats, you beat the Cougs for a QB recruit.
UW talks a lot of academis smack for the distant 5th best academis school in the conference

-Butterfield is a Stanford legacy as his father Mark played quarterback for the Cardinal and it’s the school we always though he would end up at. Stanford already had a 2020 QB however in Tanner McKee, who signed two years ago and will be apart of the 2020 class when he returns from his Mormon mission.
-Cal then jumped on Butterfield early and was doing well with the talented signal caller until his recent visit to Oregon
-Butterfield is a pure pocket passer and one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the country. As mentioned, he was raised in a quarterback family and you can see he has an advanced feel for the position. He has a college level understanding right now for pocket sense, timing and anticipation. He changes speeds, throws a very catchable ball and is already adept and going through reads and progressions and make quick, accurate decisions.
-Overall Analysis: As mentioned above, Oregon being able to land Butterfield after going all in with Uiagalelei is a simply amazing coup. You rarely see schools able to pull this off as typically when a college is in the top two for one signal caller, it’s tough to keep another quarterback warm and made to feel like a priority. Oregon was able to do that and it shows a lot of maturity on Butterfield’s side as well to understand how the recruiting process works, let it play out and choose the school he wanted, which was Oregon. The Ducks have really stepped up their recruiting in the last 2-3 years and landing Butterfield, a top 100 prospect nationally, is just another huge feather in their cap. Butterfield is a very talented kid with a chance to be a special player for the Ducks down the road.
You should come over to our little board, that is , what is left of woodshed (woodshed.boards.net). The problem we have now is that most of the libs are hiding under their beds since the Mueller report.
DNB, Scott etc gave up I believe. Owl and Snots are still around, but we need libs to kick around. That wasn’t nice. We need libs for more diverse repartee.
