With seven interceptions the past two seasons, Washington's Byron Murphy is the best ball hawk in this class. I don't think his 4.55 40 will cause him to drop far, though he has a smaller frame than I would have liked to see. He's a top-40 prospect on tape.
McShay on Rapp:
Rapp didn't run the 40, but he posted the second-fastest short shuttle for defensive backs, at 3.99 seconds, along with a 6.82-second three-cone drill. His 35-inch vertical and 9-foot-7 broad jump were nearly right on the five-year averages for safeties. But with those times, the 6-foot, 208-pounder certainly helped his cause as a top-40 pick and possibly the first safety off the board in April.
Is this supposed to be a brag? UW has more than twice as many players than Oregon at the combine and our guys will get drafted higher. Losers gotta cherry pick anything they can find I guess.

Just wait until Oregon is done creating an SEC caliber team in the Pac12.

No, he's just not very smart... but this is hardcorehusky where we tolerate stupidity for entertainment.

is 3 of the top 5 fastest players good?
Worth at least 4th place in the North apparently.
i would say it's worth at least one win
which one do you think i'm talking about?
Like all little brothers beating Washington makes up for finishing 4th in your division

that's not the one i was thinking about. that one happened because washington finally ran into a physical football team and didn't know what to do.

that's not the one i was thinking about. that one happened because Pete pussied out and settled for attempting a last second field goal when he was running the ball down Oregon's throat and never should have stopped.

Its easy for an unofficial 40 or other timed event to be fudged. I don't know if UW was even electronically timing.
But what could they be doing on the vert to make the numbers come out better?
For example- Miller supposedly had a 41" vert in 2017. What?
I remember reading they wake these kids up super early to put them under stressful circumstances. It’s not the best conditions for athletic performance.

They'll be a powerhouse just like South Carolina.
