Of course barring the press from public events isn't popular at first, no progressive idea is popular at first. But as the public learns more about banning the press it will get more popularity and eventually the majority will want it. This is how the process works.

Maybe we should only allow uber wealthy immigrants to provide input into our politics. Rupert Murdoch perhaps. He’s been such a positive influence on our political system in his time here. -

You're the one who brought up how she should be able to meet with her constituents in this thread. Multiple times. I agree.
Then you brought up how the presence of the press can be a threat to illegal immigrants. Which may well be true.
But by definition illegal immigrants are not her constituents, unless you're arguing that they vote anyway, which would be a very off brand argument for you. -
I believe her constituents are everyone who lives in her district whether they vote or not, and everyone whether they’re legal immigrants or not. They are impacted by politics regardless and should be able to talk to the politicians that make policy decisions.dnc said:

And if the politican wants to provide a setting that makes those people feel more comfortable voicing their concerns then that is also fine.
