Sark is so far out of his depth

He doesn't seem to comprehend the difference between a memorial service and a pep rally.

He also seemed to be vaguely campaigning to keep his job.

Other than that, a lovely service.

Sorry if I sound jaded.

Any chance Pool Boy is developing expectations? Or more likely, some ubers are turning up the heat? Wishful thinking, I know.

Not jaded Derek. And you had the privilege of knowing Don James. Sark was as much out of his element (i.e., fraternity) at the service as on the sidelines trying to coach the WA football team. Sark reaffirmed he is only a mouthpiece masquerading as a head coach. Unfortunately, Pool Boy is AD and there are just too many doogs unwilling to pull off his mask.

    Damn shame.

I did cringe when he led that cheer.
    What I found more cringeworthy
    was word that Barbara Hedges
attended. Please tell me that ain't
    so.

What isn't well known is that Don and Carol remained friends with Barbara and her husband for all these years after.

She should have DIAFF over two decades ago. If she actually attended, then she is more female dog than I suspected.

Creepy. And wierd. This explain the apparent curse on the WA football program? Not good karma.

Carol said they socialized together and would have dinners together during the winter months when they lived in Palm Desert.

Coach James truly didn't hold many grudges.
