What I think I think about Trump and America (Too Long, Don't Read!)

I would gladly trade him for Hondo at this point. At least he can spend some years in the Tug farm system to improve.Swaye said:
Bet he is still at Middlebury occupying some building in his 7th year of undergrad.CuntWaffle said:Collegedoog voted for Romney

The Dems just needed more time to get their own slowpitch softball players in there.Mosster47 said:Someone much smarter than me said this about the election and they were right: If the Democrats would have thrown a 55 year old white man who wasn't retarded they would have won by a landslide.
Trump was a soft toss right over the middle of the plate and the Dems sent out a kid with no arm to hit it. Hilary was the trendy female follow-up to the non-white guy instead of a winner.
Swaye is into something though. We are stuck in a 50/50 universe right now. 50% want socialism, 50% want the opposite. 50% want to go back to the blue laws, 50% want weed for breakfast and religion obliterated.
The US is a half-assed country right now. We need to pick one side and go full tilt. -
Don't forget, the Democrats trotted out John F Kerry when they had General Wesley Clark waiting in the wings.CuntWaffle said:

The Dems are great hitting coaches, but they can't set a lineup for shit.pawz said:

This thread is bunch of statist, collectivist, government worshiping horseshit. When the state is your religion people sound like religious people when they talk about the state.

More white people voted for Romney than TrumpCuntWaffle said:Collegedoog voted for Romney
Romney might need to ask himself why he appeals to Nazis and White Supremacists -

I agree with this. Neither side does shit because their funding comes from the extremes of each party.salemcoog said:Good stuff. I vote for @swaye as the lead in the next Bond movie.
I didn't vote for Trump as he scared the shit out of me but after the shitshow of the campaign that was 2016, I vowed to support whoever won. And as has been mentioned before, I warmed up to the idea that he didn't owe the special interests anything and could shake things up a bit. He came out guns blazing and tried to implement some campaign promises right outta the gate.
After some missteps his first month or so, I gave him a break as I knew the media hated him and would never pass on a potshot opportunity especially after watching them all cry into their lattes election night. But then it became clear that He was gonna be his own worst enemy with the constant twatting and his inability to keep his cool with the press.
He didn't figure out that He had to be a negotiator with Congress and not a dictator. Instead of living at Mar Lago, he should have been living on Capitol Hill his first 100 days and see who he could make deals with on both sides of the aisle. He wanted to tell Congress that their was a new sheriff in town instead of show them that there was. And with 2018 approaching, and his approval ratings down, Trump is on the clock as far as building any consensus to actually get anything done in the shit show Congress. As if his ratings don't go up they will all scurry like rats away from Trump to save their own worthless skin. It's already happening. The Republican party never even took the time to sketch some ideas as a replacement for Obamacare and every one just tried to wing it.
Our Federal government is broke in all 3 branches. But the death knell was Citizens United and no term limits being enacted. In order to keep your seat in Congress, you have to dial for dollars for the RNC and DNC 15-20 hours per day. It's said that when in session, the are all really are there on Wednesdays. So once you get there, the main job is to start fundraising for your next election. Basically sell all of your votes for the next re-election.
I'm afraid nothing short of either a coup will help make our federal government more effective again. Or a mass secession of states that makes the federal government irrelevant. -
2016 was the best example of that.Sledog said:
