You might be right about that. I wasn't actively following HS as much during that time, so I'm just going off what I've read after the fact.FremontTroll said:
Wasn't that more about Sark and Keivarae's Mom being smart enough to send him away?FKA_Mousecop said:
Seems similar to the Keivarae Russell situation, and he still ended up as a defensive back when his primary choice didn't work out. Will be interesting if he commits to Oregon given their current DB class.Tequilla said:My take is that if he is buying what Willie T is telling him then he's being told what he wants to hear ...
What he wants to hear is that he wants to play offense ...
We are likely telling him he could be an AA safety and be a high pick in the NFL Draft ...
If his heart is being an offensive player, he won't be at Washington
Seems more like Austin Joyner situation if we eventually come around to telling him he can play where he wants.
Is Joyner switching actually rumored to be a possibility? Would kind of make sense for depth next year if Gaskin and Coleman leave.
His injury history would worry me there, however. -
IIRC UW was originally recruiting Joyner as a RB. He said he wanted to play corner, and committed to WSU as a corner. UW then told him he could play DB and he gave Leach the finger.FKA_Mousecop said:

@jhfstyle24
yo do us a favor, reach out to your boys in high school and let us know which way this kid is leaning? -
I asked @SpiritHorse where he was headed, but @SpiritHorse was on meth and cannot be trusted at present.
-
last I checked (right after Spring Break, so like 4/20 ish) it was UW, but that was before the Oregon visit/spring game. I will ask tomorrow.WeakarmCobra said:@jhfstyle24

Don't axe. It's Oregon right now, we already know.jhfstyle24 said:

What matters is how he feels in December. -
I know UW was his leader for a long time, and I now know for certain Oregon is a serious contender and probably in the lead. He has said he really likes Oregon, but has not made it clear which way he is leaning. Best guess is Oregon, but with Lake and Lubick, this should be a very winnable battle. Lloyd Christmas would be ecstatic about our? chances.dnc said:

Biggins just posted an interview with Tre'Shawn. He says Oregon is now recruiting him exclusively as a DB, while UW is recruiting him on both sides of the ball. Pretty much the opposite of what everyone has been inferring.
To me, his recruitment reminds me of that of three other guys in recent years - Henry Bainavalu, Benning Potoae, and Isaiah Gilchrist. These were guys who were rumored to like other schools more than UW early in the process and "might just want to get out of Seattle". All three took awhile but then quietly announced they were staying home. I bet Harrison follows a similar path...or he doesnt.
Either way it will be interesting. -
Interesting that Peterman is running point on this.bananasnblondes said:Biggins just posted an interview with Tre'Shawn. He says Oregon is now recruiting him exclusively as a DB, while UW is recruiting him on both sides of the ball. Pretty much the opposite of what everyone has been inferring.

Bonerpopper is his primary recruiter. Pete is heavily involved with all the local kids who are worth a damn.WeakarmCobra said:

A good season would make it pretty tough for a Seattle kid to leave.bananasnblondes said:Biggins just posted an interview with Tre'Shawn. We need him too. -

Oregon has bounced between defense and offense with Harrison, with offense being their focus.
"I am talking to Coach (Mike) Johnson because they are recruiting me as a receiver," said Harrison, who has also talked with DB coach Keith Heyward from Oregon. -
If Oregon was to recruit him as a DB then he'd be going to Washington
-
If we don't get this kid Bonerpopper should be napalmed.

From left to right: Nansen (1 for the pink, 1 for the stink), Harrison (2 for the pink, 0 for the stink), Dougherty (1 for the clit, 1 for the pink, 1 for the taint, 1 for the stink), Harrison (stays consistent with 2 for the pink, 0 for the stink)WeakarmCobra said:Johnny Nansen never sleeps

That's not Tre'shaun Harrison in the pictures. Pretty sure it is Joey Thomas, their head coach.bananasnblondes said:

With local kids you get 3 different groups:
1) All in in staying home, commit early, and shut it down
2) Take a look around, flirt a bunch, but ultimately stay home when they realize that everything they want they can get at home
3) Can't wait to get the hell out of town
I feel like Harrison is somewhere between 2) and 3)

Athlete = I want to play offense

Eklund says he's a lock to Oregon so there's still hope.
-
Is he going to play WR or DB?
