Since 2008, average family premiums have climbed a total of $4,865. The White House cheered the news, saying it was a sign of continued slow growth in premium costs.

"We will start," Obama said back in 2008, "by reducing premiums by as much as $2,500 per family."
HDB's ??? A retort ??? (BTW, that doesn't mean you get to commit two torts.)

So according to your chart they increased 41% under 7 years of Obama (on pace for 47% in 8 years) and 100% under 8 years of Bush...

    Was that the point?

    OBAMACARE IS BUSH'S FAULT !!!

Every country in the world that uses single payer health care pays less than the US per capita. It's the pretty obvious answer.

... an anyone from said country either dies waiting for medical care or, pays cash for treatment in the United States.

This is such an ignorant fallacy -- I thought only posters like d2d were capable of believing the arguments made by the health care insurence lobby.

You could always do what I did and research an actual procedure, in a real country and speak with the facility to get an actual estimate... rather than rely on Obama's stooges to tell you what to think.

My wife has relatives in Sweden and when we stayed with them we spoke to them about their healthcare system. They were happy with it.

    But you wrote this:

"... an anyone from said country either dies waiting for medical care or, pays cash for treatment in the United States."

So, from your "in-depth study", you've applied the results to all of the other first world countries that have single payer healthcare?

Have you published your study anywhere for review? Otherwise it just sounds like shit made up by an anonymous poster on a message board.

BTW, many studies have been published that show that the US ranks somewhere between 20 and 30 against the other first world countries in health care quality. Though our costs ranks 1st.

I'm guessing you are a shill for the health insurance industry.

BTW, the pro-single payer movement in the US predates the current president, and will continue after he leaves office.

Cool, but again, you wrote this:

"... an anyone from said country either dies waiting for medical care or, pays cash for treatment in the United States."

Can you prove this with your study? Otherwise it is BS you made up.

    correct

Yes, you somtimes have to wait for minor surgery and elective surgery in the evil socialist countries. This Canadian I know used to bitch about it. Nobody dies because they had to wait 10 days for the emergency appendectomy.

No, women in Canada just die from breast cancer waiting for that minor surgery while it metastasizes into terminal bone cancer. (from personal experience with sister).

Why did she wait so long? According to conventional wisdom of the right wingers on this board... she would have just come to the US?

(Oh, and BTW, if a Canadian comes to the US for a procedure she or he can't get in Canada, the Canadian health care system pays for it)

If an uninsured or underinsured person has a medical problem, they will be taken care of. They go to the doctor/hospital and they get the care they need, subsidized by the people who have insurance. My issue is the smoke and mirrors. Obamacare is nothing more than a tax on the insured to subsidize the uninsured. I get it. I don't like it, but I get it. Why not take away all the superfluous BS and provide basic medical care for all. We do it anyway. Oh, and get the private sector insurance companies out of the equation. After all, they add absolutely nothing other than profits to their investors.
