The knock on Smith (besides stupid play-calls and general results) has been his youth and lack of experience. I thus did a search for the teams with the highest amount of rushing yards per game, removed option teams, and then looked for teams on or close to the West Coast with more experienced play-callers.
Still waiting for somebody to name the OC who could turn these lemons into lemonade.
Is this a whoosh? If not, please never post again. You picked some of the worst possible retreads possible. The guy from New Mexico might be decent. The others suck.
Smith is a Little Sky caliber coordinator. Throw a dart on a map and you could find a better one.
You could be right. I just feel like it's hard to tell from the data available.
Statistically they're pretty bad. I get last year was a transition year and Miles was a pothead weak armed chump, and this year they're young (again), but they can do better. He's not maximizing what talent there is. I know it's cool to throw the ball 55 times a game now, but you have to custom your offense to what works and what personnel you have. I don't feel like they're doing that. It seems like they're going to do it their way come hell or high water, and good coaches adapt.

It's the year after next.
Your negativity almost made me want to stop posting.
Would you go for a young, hot-name OC?
