I almost got in fistacuffs with a high ranking army NCO over there right after they killed him. I said "Great, now the craziest, baddest fuckers you can ever imagine will take over." Even Bush's dad knew taking out Saddam was dumb. The excuse Bush junior made was that Saddam was harboring and working with these dudes. Reality is, they didn't enter Iraq until Saddam was dead. Not to mention that you can't force democracy on a country, it needs to want democracy.

I've said multiple times in the past week I'd take Saddam back.

It seems like everytime we take out some fuckhead out there a worse one takes their place.

I can't imagine anyone more fucked up than ISIS but I never thought we'd see a movement this fucked up in my lifetime either.

It's why I don't pretend to know what the fuck we should do. My instinct is to want the US to blow ISIS off the map, but who steps up into their place? I'm pretty much at the point of thinking the only resolutions to the Middle East are: a) nuke the shit out of it (The @Swaye Way) b) take them out and then occupy Iraq for at least 50 years.

Of course, neither of those solutions are tenable politically. Which means there is no option.
