Dan Lanning on Playing at Iowa: "It's not going to feel like a home game."

If we are actually serious about making the playoffs we probably need Oregon coming in 10-1, yes. I have a hard time seeing US beat them if they are good enough to get there though.
I don't see a team with Iowa's offense beating them. Especially their QB.
The weather forecast is cold and wet supposedly in Iowa City Saturday though.

Lanning to Aubarn!!

Pretty hard to see Oregon going 2-0 against Iowa and USC.

Iowa and Washington*

Oregon owns USC

Since we will lose at UCLA, not once cell in my body will root for Oregon to win Saturday.

I know it feels like I'm picking on you, and I am, but I hasten to point out that you need the word "heat" or "burn" in that phrase to make it go. Suns are generally not passionate.

I really don't see Oregon winning out. They are likely to drop one, maybe two if the wheels come off.
Moore doesn't seem to be great at dealing with adversity and is more of a front-runner. If they get into a rhythm then he's a nice QB who is clearly taking care of his body. If you hit him and the running game isn't there, he could easily become a liability and start doing stupid shit and lose one or two for them. I don't think their O line is quite what it's been in the past re pass blocking but D line doesn't seem to be a strength for Dwag.
I have no idea how SC will fare against them - out of respect I say Trooj is due for win against Duck - but I am more convinced than ever that Washington will be a problem for them at home. Dwag will score points on Duck and Demond, who has everything you look for in a quarterback, will be a problem for them if, and I say IF, Visor Bald Spot calls the right game and gets him out of the pocket. If Washington can lay the lumber on O, then Duck has to be perfect on O and I think they're not quite built for that like they've been in the past.
There is this thing, though, with Oregon (and lots of teams actually) where you actually hope they win the week before they play you just to avoid fighting the lower odds of 'two in a row'. Or whatever.

This
This is the most vulnerable we've seen Oregon since late in 2022. I also don't think Moore is close to Nix or maybe even Gabriel (despite what Klatt shat out his mouth). I will believe them losing games to random teams when I see it though. They haven't lost a game to a team that isn't Final Four caliber since Oregon State in 2022 and that was a massive perfect storm of bad shit for them. 2022 UW was a Final Four level team by the time they played them.
They have a big streak of winning close games against lesser teams though so they might be due to lose one ala Oregon State 2022.
