People need to stop getting so attached to players in a world where free agency is faster than it is at the professional level
Thad is in the position to be playing this year because of an absolutely ridiculous stay ruling tied to JuCo's AND the high likelihood that his draft grade from the NFL was Day 3 (or later)
He's a good but not great college player last year and has the room to continue to get better
He was provided an opportunity at UW to move inside to the slot … he (and those around him) considered that a slap in the face and sign of disrespect.
The slot is a very important position in the defense of the new DC Ryan Walters.
The slot is an increasingly critical position at the NFL level.
Thad's skill set IMO translates well to the slot.
He and his people disagreed.
Best of luck in Carolina.
UW will leverage the money they were offering Thad PLUS the money they got back from Cook washing out to get 2 or 3 players.
This past Saturday, I kept seeing Myles Bryant in on tackles for the Houston Texans. I was like “of shit” theirs our guy Myles Bryant, yet again, making plays on defense for another team in the NFL.
Dude is a baller, surprised Tampa Bay didn’t pick him up considering they have numerous dawgs playing significant snaps on both sides of the ball. Cade, Culp and Jalen McMillan … Vita, Gains and Tryon, their front office likes Petersen’s guys.
The NFL alum thing is a good point of another thing that might not to be as good as a connection. Seems like more and more guys in the intros say their high school or hometown or some bullshit. I don't think they'll start in the NFL but would be weird to see guys like Kalepo, Buelow, and Powell. Do they say Ole Piss or Miami?
I can't for the life of me understand what Vita Vea says in his intro., it's basically unintelligible, but it doesn't sound like he's saying "Washington" or "UW." I'm more curious than anything cuz the guy is a character, let alone a helluva football player and athlete.
I noticed that too. I think someone said he says "Death Row Dawgs" or "Deathrow." His Instagram bio says UW alum and I think he at least was involved with Montlake Futures so I think he's a guy who does help the program.
Puka saying BYU (if he did) would make sense and feel right. He wasn't a mercenary transfer or guy who bailed on the program when it needed him and he played at BYU for multiple years.
I know it's not how it works for us, but yeah, I'd rather have another OL or DL or two of Dixon's quality. Dixon kind of got a thing going where your girlfriend leaves and you start to overvalue her. My biggest gripe is there was a chance to keep him and we won't replace him with anything.

stack bodies and rotate the fuck out of them and play man so they have an extra body in the box.
Dude should be able to put fourth a slightly better D than last year.
If Durfee and Parker are healthy the line should be good. Massive if
