Peterman was asking more from the "why would you want those people to win?" perspective, not from a likelihood perspective. I feel about Boise the way I feel about Gonzaga. Join a real conference and play a real schedule, or win it all with the one you play, or fuck right the fuck off. This business of "we beat this good team this one time" or "we almost beat this other team on the road this one time" is for the fucking birds.
Also, this love for another good running back has really crawled up my ass and is starting to rot. If that fucker had won the Heisman and Hunter was interviewed and said what he said, the collective meltdown here and elsewhere would cause the Pacific Plate to shift. I'm amazed at how full of feelings people are these days.

I am kind of with you on the Gonzaga comp but Boise's coaches have been much less undeservedly fellated by America than that ugly fucker few. (And, some have very undeservedly throated). He is (worse than) the russians or germans in my comp. While Boise is probably closer to the Ukrainians. I know, tittt.

As a former resident of the Peach State, I feel as though I should support UGA.
I have a lot of connections through friends in the Army to certain schools and Rocky Top and Pedo St are amongst them.
As a recovering Catholic, there’s still a slight allegiance to GRUNDLE’s Irish.
