So, what happens now?

I had a conversation with a co-worker yesterday. She is fun to be around but dull as a butter knife. She is not an original thinker so I am sure she picked up this line from the talking heads that I have seen say it many times in the last day. "I am not sure how I can tell my daughter about what just happened". I responded that maybe she should let her daughter figure this out herself, not influence her toward her liberal way of thinking, and upsetting her. Of course she disagreed and then went on to say she hopes the rat leadership stops Trump from "doing anything".

First of all, that kind of parenting is BS. We had an election. It didn't go mommy's way. Get the fuck over it. Don't pollute the kids brain with your semi-adult bullshit. This is why so many rat parents raise shitty adults.

Secondly, how long until the legal procedures against Trump start happening? How long until a bunch of democrats unsuccessfully try to bring up impeachment? We know it will never see the light of day but we also know rat leadership will do it for show. We know they will file lawsuits against opening up pipelines for NG and Oil. Fight any off shore permits, etc. etc. They will try to ruin this presidency just like they did last time. I think it is already happening two months before he takes office.

Thirdly, if anyone is watching msnbc, cnn etc. you have seen an absolute lack of any kind of grasp as to what is wrong with the democratic party, why they lost the election and why Headboard was such a bad candidate. The msm has blamed white women, Latino males, misogyny, racism, homophobia, etc. They literally don't understand half of this country. After listening to 1000's of people rail about the high cost of food and the damage inflation has done to the middle class, the talking head rats still claim this is the greatest economy ever, they did it yesterday and this morning. msnbc actually put up a graph that showed how the "uneducated" voted. They can't even see their own elitism and how it is perceived by the rest of the country. So do you think they will ever figure it out? I don't. They live in their elitist liberal bubble and know no one from the middle class. I say stay that way. It helps come election time.

Lastly, do you think abortion is now a lower tier motivator? 2 years ago it was issue number 1 and why Reps didn't do so well in the mid terms. The exit data in this election says it was nowhere near as impactful as it used to be. My guess is that once the states settle in and the majority are allowing abortion up to 12 weeks, the issue will start to fade a bit more even though the left will attempt to ride this old horse until it vapor locks and falls over dead. We know Trump is not going to touch the issue. On a side note, when I get into a discussion about abortion with women, I always ask them if it is a law. They always says yes and that the Supreme Court took away that law. The ignorance on this issue is astounding. When I tell them that it was never a law voted on by congress, simply a ruling by the SC and that the right to abortion is not in the Constitution and that it is a states rights issue, they don't believe me. When I tell them that democrats have not put forth an abortion up to viability bill because they know it would be a killer for them in elections, they sit with their mouths open. Just pure ignorance.
