It's not that the dems don't have their back, it's that they are rooting for the away team. Funding the Iranians with a hundred plus billion dollars and then dropping sanctions on their nuclear weapon development is a substantial backing. Then when Trump offed Soleimani the weeping and gnashing of teeth by the left was off the charts.
