yes, returning from the Seahawks game, I admit seeking a national sports feed after growing tired of Dori Monson discussing some soccer fag from Britain, suffering from the trots, (make a wish?) raise the 12 flag... I think I heard it was Janet Yellen's kid?? In any case, did not change the station upon my evening exit thus enduring those 3 minutes I will never get back.

The rath from you fucktards, I can handle.

Pete has said three pertinent things about the QB situation. 1. Lindquist was the starter for Hawaii, 2. there would be continuing competition at the position (as is for all the positions) 3. he doesn't want them to think if they make a mistake that they are immediatly yanked (paraphrased).

So if Lindquist makes a few mistakes in his first start, do you really think he would be pulled? I don't. I think Lindquist will start until such time he can't win with him because he will cost them some wins.

In regards to #3... From the Seattle Times:

Sophomore quarterback Cyler Miles, suspended for the season opener, “definitely factors into” the quarterback competition after the Hawaii game, Petersen said.

Williams, too, will continue to compete for the job, Petersen added.

“Jeff’s going to go and he’s going to get a good opportunity to go. We don’t want anybody looking over their shoulder, but a guy’s got to go produce,” Petersen said. “After this first game, we’ll kind of reevaluate and see where we are.”

The last sentence is the most telling. Nothing is settled at all, and Lindquist will have to play well to keep the job. It's very possible that he does, but if he struggles, I think the hook is going to be pretty quick. Why would he let Lindquist grow into the job when it's entirely possible he has a better QB standing on the sidelines? It's not like Lindquist is an established Pac 12 QB with a track record. Peterman is here to win, and he will put the best QB in. It's easy to forget that Miles has been ahead of Lindquist since they arrived. It had nothing to do with being a Sark guy or a Pete guy, he was better.

Linquist needs to show the staff that he can be accurate during games. If he can't do that, he won't play regardless if UW mows through this dreckfest. I haven't been to any of the practices, but I would be surprised if his accuracy improved that much over what it has been.

Why do i still get the feeling that Carter Samuels will be in the mix before the end of the year. I don't see any of these guys running arway with this battle. Starts to make me wonder if nobody separates early on, if KJCS gets a shot.

In the nearly countless minutes (it was almost 2 minutes) I spent at practice watching the QBs throw the ball into the net thingy, Williams was the most accurate which obviously tells me Peterman can't handle the *edgy* players on the team.
