Softy calls for Cauce's head

Of course UW wanted to stay. Sentimental saps abound in this area. I have always believed that UW could've been on the first ship out with USC, UCLA, and Oregon if the school had tried.

To your first point (which doesn't show in the quote because VFS), I think they could have and should have killed it one year earlier. It was only done because there was no other choice when they finally pulled the plug.
-
For sure. Which is why I think they'll go hard on a culture fit this time, at the expense of results.

Neither of us knows anything obviously but I think their meeting in (Chicago) and Oregon's meeting with them in (NCY?) was probably about the B1G/FOX telling them that they were going to be in the B1G but it had to be executed in a way that made it seem like all options to keep the Pac together were exhausted.
This "dramatic" thing that played out August 1st that had Canzano and Wilner jerking off until "suddenly" UW walked away just screams like it had been planned a long, long time ago with radio silence and the contract terms already agreed upon.

cheers Softy!

This.

Based on what? The Pac 12 implosion was the most significant event in program history since Henry Suzallo fired Gil Dobie. Everybody who cares about UW football was shitting their collective pants, arguing with Ducks about who needed who simply to manage nerves while the group waited with bated breath at the news. From all accounts, she was a heat seeking missile and, again according to accounts, had a lesser player been involved it might have been fucked up. The Big held all the cards.
The Cuban did good. Softy has never been good at anything besides being fat.

softy doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about

I can assure you that money is, in fact, a very big issue.
