What goes on in Chicago is an absolute travesty and has been going on for over 30 years.
The whole topic of racism is such a massive miss to me ... anybody that still claims that the majority of the nation has issues with race shouldn't because the POTUS is African American.
A Caucasian being killed by a Caucasian is as bad as an African American being killed by an African American is as bad as a Caucasian being killed by an African American is as bad as an African American being killed by a Caucasian. Anytime there's death, that's a tragedy.
It's a shame that Obama can't state as much given the position and visibility that he has ... -
Years of oppression and stuff.

Black on black crime doesn't fit his agenda of using white guilt to gain sympathy, while perpetuating a victim mentality amongst blacks?
Huh? -
Always about the Muslims

No reparations yet. Would fix everything.

Sure. But what about the rhinos that Caucasian trophy hunters are killing?
-
Yes. We've put that out on here several times. Clearly an agenda. Police brutality on a white is just police brutality, on a black it's racism caused.DerekJohnson said:Ever notice when there's a tragic black-on-black crime, like the many shootings taking place in Chicago on a regular basis, our President doesn't say a word. But when a white person shoots a black person, he's issuing statements within hours. Ever think about why he does that?
Clearly the president has an agenda that is pushed by the race batters who make a living off race baiting.
The "if I had a son he'd look like..." Was a disgusting thing for a president to say. Yet most people just nod and accept it. To speak out on it risks being called a racist. -
Did Obama ever make a comment about the white college baseball player who was shot and killed by three black teens in Oklahoma because they were bored? Imagine if the race scenario was reversed.
I hate the race issue in the US. It's so overboard. Most of it isn't even a race problem but rather a poverty problem. There are social tiers and that's just the way it is. A white kid growing up in a trailer park with meth heads has the same disadvantages as a black kid growing up in the hood. -

I think the in the U.S. we have made huge progress in reducing racism, yet it seems like each perceived racial event gets more and more media coverage, protest, and political attention.
Alexis de Tocqueville had it right when he said "The more a society liberates itself from injustices, the harder people find it to bear the remaining injustices"
But of course, some people have a vested interest in making these things as big of a deal as possible. It's how they try to remain relevant and how they make money. -

Yes. It can't be a poverty problem and not a race problem. It doesn't have to be racism. It can just be a racial issue. There is a difference. But to say it's simply poverty and ignore all the racial implications is silly.dnc said:

Agree. That said, poverty is a bigger problem than racism in this country. If you grow up poor without guidance, you are most likely fucked and will live a shitty life, regardless of color.allpurpleallgold said:

I don't have the time to read this thread but wanted to add my thoughts as someone that wanted him to win in 2008. I first voted for RR and lastly BC. Where the fuck were John Wilkes Booth relatives when they were needed in 2012. I though Bush Jr was bad until my white guilt got the best of me.
