I can't figure out if that's a beanie with a bill or two hats. A stocking hat over a regular hat.

And why is it called a stocking cap? Is it worn when stocking/stalking someone? What's the deal with that?

We debated this last year during the game. It's a stocking cap over a regular hat. Spoonie is beanie with a bill superiority guy.

I think they call it a stocking cap, because it is of similar construction to the stockings worn on one's legs, which are usually knitted wool or cotton.
