With the national controversy right now about Washington's weak non-conference schedule, isn't it ironic that one of that schedule's architects will be on the opposing side December 31st?
Steve Sarkisian, the former UW coach who teamed up with former AD Scott Woodward to soften UW's schedule to get more wins, now serves as an offensive consultant for Alabama. He went to Bama after being terminated from as head coach at USC.
Prior to Sarkisian's arrival at Wshington, the Huskies were one of four Division I/FBS teams to never have have played a FCS team. Sark and Woody changed that with a bullet.
But the Huskies are in the playoff and deservedly so.
It's unclear how excited Alabama players and fans will be to face Washington. But one thing's for sure, Husky Nation will be excited to take on the undefeated Crimson Tide.
